New Business Development - Technology Sales Support

As the Technology Lead, Varun was responsible for creating and delivering technology presentations and pre-sales software / architecture solutions to MFS Investment Management Board of Directors and Senior Management. This was a monumental mandate for JPMorgan, given that the 50 Funds were with the incumbent organization for over 75 years (since inception). Services provided included Fund Accounting, Custody, Securities Lending.

American Century had spent years streamlining and building applications internally, in preparation of outsourcing their Accounting and Back-Office functions. As Technology Lead on the RFP and Presentations, Varun provided architecture synergy and integration scenario's as well as application build-out roadmaps that helped convince ACI that JPMorgan WSS was truly world-class in its delivery model, resulting in a extremely large mandate of over 120 Funds. Varun continued to manage the Reporting application (VPR) team that delivered the final solution to integrate the Front Offce of ACI to JPMorgan's Accounting and Data delivery platforms.

Varun was once again called in to lead the effort on a pre-sales consultation with the senior management team at Capital Guaranty Trust. After a year long RFP, scoping and application architecture integration analysis, Varun presented a holistic end-to-end roadmap that convinced the CGT team that outsourcing of their Accounting could in fact be accomplished with minimal builds on both sides using existing applications that could be leveraged while still eliminating older heritage applications that were becoming inefficient over time.
